About

Time Capsule Video is an independent video production company owned by Kathleen Brugger. Currently I am living in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. I have a passion for creating videos that impart experience, both of events and people. Visit Time Capsule Video's YouTube channel.

I am also working with the Fundación A Jean Brugger, an educational foundation in San Juan del Sur founded by my mother. FAJB provides scholarships to young people to attend university. Visit the FAJB's YouTube channel.

I started Time Capsule Video with my husband, Arthur Hancock. We began producing nature videos of the North Carolina mountains in 1996.

From 2004 through 2009 we leased Channel 14 in Highlands North Carolina from Northland Cable Television, and produced a weekly television show entitled Heart of the High Country and the Visitor Information Program, featuring the host Blackberry Bear. Watch a clip of Blackberry Bear or visit the Heart of the High Country YouTube channel.

Time Capsule Video has won the North Carolina Society of Historian’s Paul Green Multimedia Award twice. In 2009 for “A Brief History of Highlands” and in 2015 for “Botanical History of the Highlands Plateau.”

Arthur died in 2015.
